Ois

Beginning below a power station in Mühling and flowing until Kerndl, this section of the Große Erlauf is fairly accessible. This portion of the river offers large pools that are home to good sized brown and rainbow trout, as well as grayling. In the upper part of the stretch, one will find excellent casting opportunities due to the wide open rock shores. It is best to fish this river during the week, as it can be popular for swimmers on a warm weekend day. Licenses are available from the Austrian Fishing Association, Klejch by Secret Rivers or directly by the river at Landgasthof Bärenwirt. Bärenwirt is also a great option for lunch, or for overnight stay. Brown trout, rainbow trout, grayling.
